Meet Pierre
As a husband, father, and mechanical engineer, my journey into soil health began unexpectedly.
After successfully running my own business in the building services industry for 5 years, I found myself increasingly drawn to gardening and composting in my spare time.
My passion for healthy soil grew from a personal mission to grow nutrient dense food, understanding that many health issues stem from nutrient deficiencies in our food supply.
After facing challenges with pests and plant diseases in my own garden, I completed the foundations course of Dr. Elaine Ingham’s school.
I built my own compost tea system and applied these principles to my garden and trees with remarkable results.
Today I provide professional biological reports of soil and compost through Living Soil (Pty) Ltd, helping others grow healthy foods, save costs, and regenerate Earth’s soils.

Do I have to be a farmer to use your services/advice?
No, I love helping people grow their own healthy food, regardless of scale.
In which sectors do you work?
Any plant in any type of soil, anywhere biology exists in a growing medium. These include aquaculture, golf courses, lawns and vineyards. I also assess compost tea, worm tea and leachate.
Can I send you a sample of my soil/compost?
Yes, contact me and I will send you the protocol for collecting and transporting a sample.
Can you assist me in finding a microscope and train me?
Yes, I provide guidance on microscope selection and offer training services. Please view my pricing and service options.
